How it works
The Cosmelan® peel works to inhibit tyrosinase, which is an enzyme involved in melanin formation. Other substances in the mask will also endeavor to invert the process of the transformation chain of melanin formation, which will completely stop the process. Before the first mask is applied, the surface skin is cleansed while dead skin cells and oily residues are removed. After the skin is cleansed, a mask is applied to the skin which is left on for 4-8 hours and the patient will return home. The patient will then remove the mask at home using a gentle cleanser and will apply a mesoestetic hydra vital k crème without the assistance of a medical health professional. The patient will follow with a daily application of a second crème.
The Cosmelan® peel is extremely effective in treating melasma which is caused by the overproduction of melanin in the skin and is a growing challenge to women of all ages and skin types. The Cosmelan® peel also helps with many other skin problems such as pigmentation and acne. The Cosmelan® peel is compatible with all skin types and will improve the luminosity and rejuvenation of the skin. The peel also has no TCA and has a very high safety margin. What to expect
Patients can expect skin to be red and sensitive during the first two days of treatment. Patients may experience a slight burning and tightening sensation which is normal especially within the first 24-48 hours of treatment. Patients are recommended to apply the mesoestetic hydra vital factor k whenever discomfort may occur. Patients are also advised not to combine the treatment with other treatments. The treatment will take an average of three weeks.
